High Consciousness Fields
During the latter half of the 20th Century, Dr. David R. Hawkins, a highly successful psychiatrist and researcher, treated numerous patients and observed recurring patterns in their thinking, emotions, and behaviors. He recognized that the level of consciousness a person possesses greatly influences their challenges and progress in life.
Hawkins introduced the Scale of Consciousness, a measurement system assessing levels of consciousness or vibrational frequency, in his bestselling book “Power Versus Force”. Alongside a team of researchers, he spent over twenty-five years utilizing kinesiology to gauge consciousness levels in various entities such as individuals, books, music, events, emotional states, religions, and more
Hawkins documented these levels of consciousness on a scale ranging from 1 to 1,000. Beyond the level of 200, individuals contribute positive energy to their surroundings, while below 200, they predominantly consume energy. Notable levels on this scale include Guilt at 30, Fear at 100, Courage at 200, Acceptance at 350, and Love at 500. The range of enlightenment spans from 600 to 1000.
Presently, Hawkins' students and practitioners from diverse fields employ the Hawkins Map to evaluate and facilitate positive transformations in quality of life and personal growth.
Two companies today, Focused Life Force Energy and Quantum Upgrade, have discovered a way to direct and focus large amounts of life-force energy (as a high consciousness field) towards an object, location, or even a person. This energy is measured according to the levels founded by Hawkins, and ranges from 580-1000 depending on the service provided.
This means that a high-vibration subtle energy field is directed toward an object of your choosing (could be your home, phone, business, pet, yourself, etc), which can boost your consciousness and bring positive uplifting energy to every cell of your body 24/7. Sounds outrageous, I know.
The world of quantum energy and quantum healing is not mainstream, but we can investigate studies to see if there’s actually something worth exploring here.
Focused Life Force Energy (FLFE) has an extensive research page, including studies done on EMF mitigation, several plant growth experiments, water crystal experiments, effects on RNG’s, gas discharge visualization, effects on brain waves and HRV, and more.
I watched this nearly three hour plant experiment webinar so you don’t have to. The study was run by Dr. Gary Schwartz, a professor of Psychology, Medicine, Neurology, Psychiatry, and Surgery at the University of Arizona. A doctoral graduate of Harvard University and a former professor at Yale University, Schwartz has published more than four hundred scientific papers and is the author of several books.
This FLFE Plant Vitality Research combined four separate experiments testing the effects of the FLFE High-Consciousness Field on plant germination and growth. The study came to five conclusions:
An 82% increase in leaf count in the spinach and wheatgrass experiments
A 22% increase in bushels per acre during the 10,000-acre farm study.
A range of 59-167% increase in root length in several different studies.
The observed benefits cannot be explained as being a placebo.
Altogether, the findings from the Phase I & II experiments support the claim that FLFE is having positive effects on plant vitality, and that further research is justified, including how and why FLFE works.
Read some FLFE user testimonials here, listen to the founders podcast (Fields of Consciousness) here, also listen to them on the Luke Storey Podcast and on the Mitolife Podcast. Their story is incredible.
Quantum Upgrade, the other company in this space, is a cousin to the Leela Quantum brand, which makes a range of quantum energy products that are popular in the biohacking crowd. They claim that their quantum energy service reduces stress, improves vitality, increases calmness, joy, and peace of mind, while protecting you from electromagnetic radiation from phones, WiFi, microwaves, etc.
They also have studies on their technology, including this one on ATP production that “demonstrably shows from an evidentiary standpoint that the impact on cellular energy production via quantum charging has profound implications and more broadly that there is definitive non-local interaction occurring in biological systems.”
Famous biohacker Dave Asprey is a fan of Quantum Upgrade and Leela, and has had their founder Philipp Samor von Holtzendorff-Fehling on his podcast numerous times to discuss the benefits of quantum energy. Read about the founder here, and watch him discuss his science here. YouTube researcher K Elmer has a ton of videos on both the Quantum Upgrade service and the Leela Quantum Products.
This technology is a bit challenging to discuss in one short post, so if you’re interested you can head to any of the links I’ve posted or respond to this email and we can chat about it.
Basically, by just clicking a button, you are sent an energy field that is capable of harmonizing the energetic environment of your choosing, potentially having a vast number of health benefits. Energy medicine is REAL, and this is one subset of it.
Fortunately, both companies have free trials with easy cancellation so you can try them both out and see if you notice anything. It’s a low-effort, moderate-cost, high-reward health “hack” that is worth considering, so let me know if you give it a try and notice any benefits!
Are You Having or Being?
Erich Fromm (1900-1980) was a prominent German-American social psychologist, psychoanalyst, and philosopher. He made significant contributions to the fields of psychology, sociology, and philosophy, exploring the interplay between individuals and society, as well as the nature of human existence.
In one of his most well-known books, “To Have or Be”, Fromm delves into the dichotomy between the having mode and the being mode, examining their impact on individual well-being and personal development. He explores the consequences of a mindset focused on possession and external achievements, contrasting it with a mode of existence centered on inner growth, self-realization, and authentic connections.
The having mode, as described by Fromm, is characterized by a relationship of possession and ownership towards the world. In this mode, individuals strive to acquire and accumulate things, including material possessions, knowledge, and even people. The having mode is centered around the desire to have and control, leading to a sense of identity and security through what one possesses.
The being Mode, however, emphasizes a different relationship with the world, characterized by active engagement and self-realization. In this mode, individuals focus on the development and expression of their inner potentials
In this analysis, I’ll discuss the difference between these two modes as it relates to health, property, and knowledge.
Health
In the having mode, people view health as a form of property. They discuss their health with a proprietary feeling, considering it their possession. Sickness, operations, treatments, and diets are all seen as personal property (e.g. “I have diabetes”, “I have knee tendinitis”, “I need rotator cuff surgery”). The possessive relationship to health resembles that of someone whose money is disappearing in a declining market.
In the being mode, health is not merely the absence of illness but a state of holistic well-being. It involves actively nurturing and expressing one's physical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions. Health is achieved through self-discovery, personal growth, and the realization of one's innate human capacities. It also involves establishing mutually alive relatedness with others, recognizing that our well-being is interconnected.
Property
The having mode of existence is rooted in private property. In this mode, the focus is on acquiring and keeping property, and the unlimited right to possess it. The possession of property, including material possessions, becomes a central source of fulfillment and a basis for one's sense of identity. People also develop a proprietary feeling toward various aspects of their lives, including relationships, ideas, beliefs, and even habits.
In the being mode, property is seen as a means rather than an end. Instead of seeking identity and security through material possessions, the emphasis is on inner fulfillment and self-discovery. The Being Mode requires letting go of attachments to external belongings and ego-centered identification with possessions. By embracing a sense of inner richness, individuals can tap into their true potentials and lead more authentic lives.
Knowledge
In the having mode, knowledge is often seen as a possession that provides security and a sense of identity. People tend to cling to their knowledge, viewing it as something they own and that defines them. Fromm suggests that knowledge should not be treated as a possession but as an ongoing, penetrating activity of thought without seeking certainty. The having mode of existence limits the potential for genuine activity and self-realization.
In the being mode, knowledge is not merely a collection of facts, but a deeper understanding of oneself and the world. It involves penetrating beyond surface appearances and gaining insight into reality. Knowledge requires self-reflection, uncovering the discrepancy between behavior and character, and integrating the conscious and unconscious aspects of oneself.
Although written in 1976, “To Have or to Be” may as well have been written yesterday. While I believe that a growing number of people are “waking up” to reality and looking beyond accumulation of material possessions and unlimited information, there still remains a having orientation in our society.
For myself, reading this book specifically was helpful in understanding the folly of being attached to the present state of my health as well as my frequent habit of overconsuming information akin to a junk food binge.
I believe everyone has the capacity to integrate more of the principles of being into their lives, a more conscious approach to how you approach your health, possessions, relationships, and self-realization.

Modality Spotlight: Foundation Training
Eric Goodman is a chiropractor who has gained popularity for his unique approach to exercise and movement, known as Foundation Training.
He developed this method as a way to address the underlying causes of pain and poor posture rather than simply treating the symptoms. Foundation Training involves a series of exercises and movements that aim to strengthen the core muscles, improve breathing, and enhance flexibility.
The focus is on teaching the body to move in a more effective and efficient way, while also reducing stress and tension in the spine and joints. This approach has proven effective for a range of clients, from professional athletes to office workers, who have noticed significant improvements in their overall health and well-being. Specifically, numerous people have been saved from back pain with Goodman’s methods.
Goodman has also authored several books, including “Foundation”, “True to Form”, and “Foundations of Health”. He has also produced instructional videos that allow people to learn and practice Foundation Training from the comfort of their own homes, the most popular of which is shared below, currently sitting at 8.3M views!
Goodman’s closing remarks to the 12 minute training video: "Do that every day, no back pain... ever."
I would highly recommend giving the quick workout a try, and consider buying the more recent “True to Form” to get detailed exercise descriptions, pictures, and programs.

Improve your walking by focusing on these three things: the rolling motion through the foot from heel to toe, swinging your arms enough that you can see your hands in your peripheral vision, and keeping your eyes on the horizon.
Muscles Starve/Waste in the Absence of Vitamin D: Vitamin D is more than just a bone vitamin. Recent studies have revealed its anti-catabolic effect on muscles and its protective role in the liver against excess cortisol. The latest research shows that vitamin D plays a critical role in muscle health by enabling muscles to utilize the glycogen stored within them. Without sufficient vitamin D, muscles synthesize glycogen but cannot use it, leading to a state of "glucose deficiency" triggering cortisol release and muscle breakdown, despite energy being stored in the muscle. This mechanism may be linked to type II diabetes, where glycogen accumulates in muscles, but muscle protein synthesis is low, leading to muscle wasting.
The absence of vitamin D in mice resulted in higher glycogen levels in the muscles but an inability to convert it back to glucose due to the lack of specific enzymes, causing energy deficiency. This research suggests a molecular mechanism by which vitamin D deficiency leads to muscle wasting, highlighting the importance of vitamin D in overall muscle function and metabolic health. Kids Need Sun: This study found “that incidence rates of type 1 diabetes approached zero in regions worldwide with high UVB irradiance, adding new support to the concept of a role of vitamin D in reducing the risk of the disease.” Exposing kids to UV light is health-promoting.
Why do we use full-spectrum grow lights so indoor plants thrive, but not ask what light bulbs humans are under for the majority of their day? 🤔💡
